In reply to Scott Roeben. Cases are rising unfortunately, this coronavirus is a novel one, the 1968 Hong Kong Flu was similar to other strains, including the 1957 pandemic. That gave many people some immunity, nobody has immunity against this virus, and so far the hot weather is not eradicating it. The "economy" was going to tank regardless of the life saving lockdown measures, at least we slowed it down for a time, although we are throwing a lot of the gains away not universally wearing face coverings. Look at New Zealand, they actually beat this virus, but it could come back there, nobody knows how this is going to shake out...

Good luck to everyone who decides to visit the resorts, I wish everyone well, its nice to see some employees back at work… But if they are after any attaboy’s from me, they need to make face coverings mandatory and actually police social distancing… These resorts are multi-billion dollar enterprises, apparently they have decided to do minimums instead of maximums, fair enough, I respect that, they should expect that retired, older folks like me will abstain from sharing space with mask-less strangers at indoor venues… Golf is back open here at home, with very few adjustments, and its outdoors, so poker is on hiatus but golf is back…

You have famously referred to the ” COVID-19 crisis” as a flu season that didn’t warrant the level of response that Vegas and the world has made. But in this blog you indeed refer to it as the ” COVID-19 crisis.”

So you’ve changed your opinion on the world health situation since March?

Would be very interested to get a read on crowd sizes across the spectrum right now (weekday/weekend, strip/downtown, casinos/pools.). Trying to decide whether or not to make the drive, and crowd size is the determining factor.
