Cases are rising unfortunately, this coronavirus is a novel one, the 1968 Hong Kong Flu was similar to other strains, including the 1957 pandemic. That gave many people some immunity, nobody has immunity against this virus, and so far the hot weather is not eradicating it. The “economy” was going to tank regardless of the life saving lockdown measures, at least we slowed it down for a time, although we are throwing a lot of the gains away not universally wearing face coverings. Look at New Zealand, they actually beat this virus, but it could come back there, nobody knows how this is going to shake out…
]]>It’s obviously a crisis, and no, I don’t believe the extreme measures were needed. It was a crisis in 1968. We handled it differently and didn’t implode the economy. Thank you for asking.
]]>Yay Dave ! ?? It has to start somewhere and go from there- Good luck to all ??
]]>You have famously referred to the ” COVID-19 crisis” as a flu season that didn’t warrant the level of response that Vegas and the world has made. But in this blog you indeed refer to it as the ” COVID-19 crisis.”
So you’ve changed your opinion on the world health situation since March?
