This is not a new organization. Since 2018, they have used various names to further their aims: Citizens for Local Choice, Concerned Citizens of Pope County, Citizens for a Better Pope County, Pope County Decides, United Pope County, United for a Better Pope County, United Pope County for Accountability, Fair Play for Arkansas, and, two years ago, Fair Play for Arkansas – 2022.

Despite spending almost $4 million contributed by Choctaw Casinos of Oklahoma, they failed to get their initiative on the ballot in 2022.

They have had NO success through the courts and only limited success in opposing local political candidates.
